Studio Negativ was founded by Luca Maselli in Bern, Switzerland in 2026. His passion for photography began as a teenager when his grandmother gifted him a camera, which he used to shoot his first roll of Kodak Gold 200 film.

Since then, his fascination with cameras has evolved into a keen interest and love for the craftsmanship behind them. Through countless projects, he has gained many years of experience inspecting, restoring, and repairing cameras to give them a new life.

Quality, longevity, and transparency are the core values of Studio Negativ. Whether you are buying a camera, selling your gear, or renting equipment: All of our products are carefully inspected and handled with great care. We live sustainability — whenever possible, we transport cameras by bicycle and wrap them in recycled packaging.
